Mood Journal ("the App") is a local mood and journaling application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.
All data you enter in the App, including mood entries, notes, and settings, is stored locally on your device. This journal data is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
The App uses a third-party crash reporting and diagnostics service to help us find and fix bugs. When the App crashes, encounters an error, or (for a small sample of sessions) as part of normal use, this service may collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, app logs, and a recording of on-screen activity at the time of the issue, so we can reproduce and fix the problem. This diagnostic data does not include your journal entries or notes. It is sent to the service provider's servers and is not sold or used for advertising.
The App may send you local daily reminder notifications. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers. You can disable reminders at any time in the App's Settings.
The App provides a home screen widget that reads data stored on your device. No journal data leaves your device to display widget content.
The App uses a third-party crash reporting and diagnostics service, as described above. It does not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or ad-tracking services.
The App offers an optional data export feature that saves your entries to a local file on your device. This file is not uploaded anywhere automatically. You choose where to save or share it.
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Journal data is never collected or transmitted, and diagnostic data collected by the crash reporting service is limited to technical troubleshooting information, not content you write.
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will be included in a future release of the App. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes.
